High School Basketball Tournament December 26th - 30th 2008
Dear High School Coach:
Excel Sports International. We would like to invite you, your team and your family to our annual Big Apple Holiday Classic tournament in the heart of New York City. Coming to New York to play basketball and experiencing the city during the holiday season is a once in a lifetime experience.
Tournament Format: Team from all across the country are invited and each team is Guaranteed 3 games.
Tentative Tour Itinerary: Dec 26 arrive in New York Dec 27 play game Dec 28 play game Dec 29 play game Dec 30 depart to airport
All game are played within the Manhattan
Accommodations: In New York you will stay 4 nights at the luxurious Pennsylvania hotel located in midtown Manhattan where. It features 1600 spacious guest rooms. This hotel is located right across the street from Madison Square Garden and right around the corner from the Macy's department store, The Pennsylvania Hotel is also the Host hotel for The Big East Men’s basketball tournament. The primary thing about our hotel location is that you are only minutes from famous landmark and places in NYC. Here is a sample of what you will find on your visit.

The Empire State Building – One of the tallest building in the world with observation deck to see the skyline Madison Square Garden - The world most famous arena
FAO Schwartz Department store - The is the largest toy story in the word,
Macy’s Department store - This is the largest department store in the world.
Central Park – The largest mid-town park in a major city. You can also find ice skating at Wollman rink.
Broadway /Time Square – The bright light will wow you the place where you can see all the major production of Broadway plays that can only be found in NYC. In this area you can also find Madame Toussand Wax museum.
Ground Zero – Formerly the twin towers where everyone goes to pay their respect.
Museums and Art Galleries – World famous Guggenheim, museums of natural history , museum of modern art, museum of the city of New York, and so much more independent galleries to see many famous artist work on display.
Greenwich Village – The place where all the cultures come to mix and the shopping and found you will never find anywhere else in the world.
Grand Central – The architecture of this building will leave you spellbound
Rockefeller Center - Where NBC studio is located and Ice skating at the outdoors Rockefeller rink in the winter. During the Christmas holiday the famous Christmas tree which is the largest in the country is on display with all its light and pageantry next door.
Apollo Theatre – Where the most famous stage have performed in Harlem section of Manhattan.
Ellis Island/ Statue of Liberty – where immigrants from all over the world came to the untied states at the start of the century.
Radio City Music Hall – another famous stage arena which has the Rockettes performance and the Christmas show which is a must see if you are in New York City in the winter. This is also right across the street from Rockefeller center.
Chinatown / Little Italy – where the best food from that culture can be found and they are right next to each other.
This is just a small sample of thing to see and can do while you are in New York City. There is nothing you cannot find in the most metropolitan city on western hemisphere. This is why it’s called the city that never sleeps.
What is Included: The per person price includes 4 nights at the Pennsylvania Hotel. All ground transportation needs to/from the airport, and while you are in the city we will provide a transit pass metro pass card to the city subway system which can take you anywhere you would like to visit within the 5 borough of New York with just one swipe of your card.
What is not included: Round-trip air tickets to New York City, meals, travel insurance & incidentals?
